Monetary Donations
Friends of Cypress Library accepts monetary donations in any amount. Donations greater than $100 receive recognition on our webpage. Please contact us if you would like to remain anonymous for your donation.
We are a non-profit organization (EIN #32-0451655) and your donations may be tax deductible. Consult your tax professional.
Book Donations
We accept donations of:
- Newer fiction and nonfiction books,
- Teen and children’s books,
- Current magazines (less than 3 months old), and
- Jigsaw puzzles (complete sets only).
We DO NOT accept the following:
- Old, wet, moldy, or damaged books or magazines
- Books that are 25+ years old
- Textbooks
- Encyclopedias
- Time/Life book sets
- Books written in a Foreign Language
- Magazines over 3 months old
- Jigsaw puzzles that are missing pieces (we all know how disappointing it is to work on a puzzle and not be able to finish it)
- VHS, DVDs, CDs, or LPs (music albums)
Come by the Cypress Library during normal business hours and drop off your donations at the front desk. Let the staff know your donations are for Friends of Cypress Library.
Please DO NOT drop your donations into the black, Library Return boxes located outside of the Library. These boxes are only for returning checked out materials from the Library.
